Welcome to The World Trade Center Baltimore
Baltimore’s Signature Office Building
The World Trade Center Baltimore (WTCB) is Baltimore’s signature office building and the focal point of Maryland’s world famous Inner Harbor. It is an I.M. Pei designed, award winning 296,139 rentable square foot, 31-story pentagonal office tower built in 1977 and is the world’s tallest regular pentagonal building in the heart of Baltimore’s corporate, legal, financial and tourism center.
About Us
Sitting on Pratt Street at the water’s edge of the Baltimore Inner Harbor and between the National Aquarium and the famous Harborplace retail plaza, each side and floor present unique and memorable views of the city and harbor. The Inner Harbor promenade, a 7.4-mile brick pedestrian path surrounding the Harbor extends out from both sides of The World Trade Center and connects the building to the surrounding area amenities. Some notable amenities include the National Aquarium, Camden Yards, Starbucks, Chick-fil-A, Shake Shack, Corner Bakery, CVS, Marshalls, Planet Fitness, Bank of America and much more. The building’s Pratt Street address positions it within the “Pratt Street Boulevard,” a cluster of the most prestigious Class A buildings in Baltimore’s Central Business District.
The World Trade Center’s location places it in the center of Baltimore’s most desired business location. Due to the city’s redevelopment efforts initiated in the early 1970’s, Pratt Street has evolved as the premier business address in Baltimore. The length of Pratt Street that spans from Camden Yards to the west and Little Italy to the east is known as the “Pratt Street Boulevard”, a cluster of “Tier 1” buildings that house the region’s most influential businesses and command the highest rents in the Baltimore Metropolitan Area. On the Harbor side of Pratt Street, The World Trade Center is right in the middle of this most desirable location and is in close proximity to public transportation.
Numerous public parking facilities along Pratt Street and the surrounding area are available at market rates.
The World Trade Center Baltimore is 31 stories tall, with 28 floors of rentable office area. Three upper floors and a basement contain the building’s systems and rentable storage areas. The 21st floor is the “hub floor,” with both high rise and low rise elevator service and is currently an amenities floor containing a market, a 20-person conference room for building tenants and two banquet/reception rooms. Storage spaces are located in the basement, as well as on some floors throughout the building. The basement also contains a 4,500+/- square foot loading area accessed from loading ramps off Pratt Street.
Each office floor has a versatile average floor plate of approximately 11,000 rentable square feet, with column free office areas on all five sides surrounding a central core.
